Start out by offering deviled eggs and some fresh tomato salsa as appetizers. For a more decadent appetizer, try my favorite Bleu Cheese Dressing as a veggie dip! My Party Pizza Pasta Salad travels easily and feeds a crowd. Easy-to-handle Smoky Chicken Wraps with Garlicky Red Pepper Aioli can be made the day before and chilled. My award-winning Black Bean Chili shines along with all the chili fixin’s. And to close out the meal, one of my favorite desserts is a Patriotic Berry Parfait which is oh-so-easy to make!
As a tradition, some folks may wish to offer grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, and BBQ chicken as well. Be sure to smother those hot dogs and hamburgers in my black bean chili!

Everyone loves the Fourth of July. Many people will fire up their barbeque grills and cook up a storm! Some even prefer a chilled meal since July can bring hot weather in many locations.
What’s a festive summer meal without deviled eggs? Try my Deviled Eggs Mom-Style! Sprinkle with chopped fresh chives for a festive look. Set out a platter and watch them disappear!
Richard’s Party Salsa is a great chip-dipper from a former business colleague of mine.
My creamy and decadent Bleu Cheese Dressing is a great dip for a vegetable platter.
Find a giant serving bowl and fill it with my Party Pizza Pasta Salad! Everyone loves pizza! This is a cold version with all the beloved pizza flavors.
For a simple hand-held sandwich, try my Smoky Chicken Wrap with Garlicky Roasted Red Pepper Aioli. Use regular roasted chicken if you can’t find smoky chicken.
The Food Lover’s Award-Winning Black Bean Chili is always a hit. Serve with all the fixin’s like shredded cheddar cheese, diced raw onion, sour cream, and chopped cilantro. Offer warmed cornbread on the side.
My Patriotic Berry Parfait is super easy to make — just slice some fresh ripe berries, layer in tall glasses with decadent chilled whipped cream or healthier Greek yogurt, and sprinkle on some crushed almond cookies or graham crackers. Top with a whole berry! Enjoy!
