What’s your favorite fruit in the winter? Orange? Apple? My favorite winter fruit has always been the pear. Pears signify the winter holiday season. My Winter Pear Martini is a refreshing beverage for a holiday party or all year round.
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, I start with some St. Germain elderflower liqueur, add some Absolut pear vodka, some pear juice, and the juice of half a lemon. Just shake it all up and strain into a martini glass. I like to garnish with fresh pear spears or Tillen Farms’ Rainier Reserve Cherries.
Serve this cocktail at your holiday party and see smiles on your guests’ faces!

From the kitchen of A Food Lover’s Delight….
Winter Pear Martini:
Ingredients:
5 large ice cubes in a cocktail shaker
1 oz St. Germain elderflower liqueur
1 oz Absolut pear vodka
1 oz pear juice such as R.W. Knudsen organic pear juice
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Cherry or sliced pear for garnish
Method:
Combine all ingredients except garnish in a cocktail shaker with at least 5 large ice cubes. Shake and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a Tillen Farms Rainier Reserve cherry or slice of fresh pear. You can also use red cherries or even diced ripe pear cubes for garnish.
Makes one martini.
Do not substitute another elderflower liqueur for the St. Germain liqueur. The elderflower flavoring from St. Germain is tops. Just my humble opinion….
Order some Rainier Reserve Cherries for yourself if you can’t find them in your local grocery store:
