Flavored Mayonnaises are a great way to spice up a ho-hum sandwich, burger or wrap, or to use as a dip for crunchy fries or crisp veggies. Start out with 1 cup of your favorite mayonnaise. You can make your own or use your favorite store-bought brand.
I prefer Just Mayo mayonnaise. Just Mayo is a recent egg-less addition to the mayonnaise market. Then add the requested ingredients depending on the flavor you’re seeking. Chill or enjoy right away!
You can use Miracle Whip or regular “salad dressing” mayonnaise, yet I find them to be far too sweet. Just an opinion!
From the kitchen of A Food Lover’s Delight….
Starting with one cup of mayonnaise…
Garlic Mayo: Add 1 minced garlic clove (more if you like it garlicky) to your mayo.
Honey Mustard Mayo: Add 1 T honey and 2 T dijon mustard to your mayo.
Pesto Mayo: Add 1 T basil pesto to your mayo.
Roasted Red Pepper Mayo: Add 1/4 c finely chopped or pureed roasted red pepper to your mayo.
Dijon Mayo: Add 1/4 c dijon mustard to your mayo.
Truffle Mayo: Add 2 t truffle oil to your mayo.
Jalapeno Mayo: Add 1 T chopped jalapenos to your mayo.
Sun-dried Tomato Mayo: Add 2 T chopped sun-dried tomatoes and 1 minced garlic clove to your mayo.
Horseradish Mayo: Add 2 T horseradish sauce to your mayo.
The Food Lover’s Secret Sauce for Burgers and Sandwiches: Add 2 T dijon mustard, 1/2 c ketchup, 2 T dill or sweet pickle relish, and a dash or Tabasco sauce to your mayo.
Combine ingredients into mayonnaise as stated above using a fork, spoon or wire whisk. Most options make just over a cup of flavored mayonnaise. Adjust ingredients to taste as you might like more or less mayo flavor. Refrigerate to meld flavors or enjoy right away. Double or triple recipe as needed.
Variations: Use fat-free or reduced fat mayonnaise.
