The holidays bring all sorts of parties and get-togethers. Festive cocktails are all the rage. My husband concocted his Christmas Cheer Cocktail for me just for this year’s holiday season. Of course, you could certainly enjoy this cocktail at any time of the year.
This Christmas Cheer Cocktail is made from freshly squeezed Valencia orange juice, cherry juice, Cointreau, vodka and Campari. Shake it all up in a cocktail shaker with ice, strain into a martini glass, and celebrate the holidays!
From the kitchen of A Food Lover’s Delight….
Christmas Cheer Cocktail
Juice of one Valencia orange
1 T cherry juice (from Tillen Farms jarred Bada Bing cherries or regular maraschino cherries)
1 oz Cointreau or other orange liqueur
1 oz vodka
1/2 oz Campari
Orange peel and a stemmed cherry for garnish
Shake all ingredients (except garnish) with ice in a cocktail shaker. Strain and pour into a martini glass. Be sure to strain this cocktail to remove the orange pulp for a better presentation. Garnish with a cherry wrapped in a slice of orange peel.
Makes one festive cocktail.
